This week I’ll be writing about one of my absolute favourite clothing brands Little Green radicals and reviewing two beautiful outfits from their new AW16 collection.
As long as I’ve been a mother I have had a real love for the Little Green Radicals brand, so I’m really excited to be able to write about their excellent threads and share my experiences about their new line!
A little bit about them
Little green radicals started in 2005 first selling humorous slogan t shirts for kids, and once launched they were one of the first kids clothes companies to be certified for fair trade cotton, and of course all of their beautiful creations are organic 🙂
Little green radicals have grown so much and have come a long Way since their humble beginnings – and it’s not hard to see why 🙂
Now each must have new season ‘s range is highly anticipated by so many LGR fans, as well as the retailers that stock them! The bold designs and beautiful colours of the LGR brand has even won them the 2014 Junior Design Awards for best children’s Eco fashion brand!
The LGR brand is beautiful, we are huge fans of it in this house , with both of my boys owning many outfits from previous gorgeous season’s collections.
What I love about their designs is that they are so different to other kids clothes out there, the designs are bold and colourful, earthy and stylish, as well as being wonderfully quirky.
The new AW16 range is based on dreams, so there’s a night sky theme (my personal favourite), as well as flying rockets, owls and forests. These themes are stunning and the colours are so rich, deep and warm. I am a lover of the Autumn and winter seasons and I love nothing more than coming home after being outside in the cold and getting cosy in my pjs with the kids- when I look at these patterns that’s what I’m reminded of- that lovely cosy and warm feeling 🙂
So naturally when the new range was released, I had to try it out for myself- if I’m flooded with cosy little memories just looking at their gorgeous stuff on the website imagine how it would be if I actually *owned* some 😉
I chose two outfits, a sleep suit for Nic in the secret tree house print and the sleeping moon top with matching moon and stars jellybean joggers for Jacob.
I couldn’t wait for them to arrive and practically stalked Mr postie everyday until my shiny parcel of goodies arrived. And of course they were well worth the wait.
The first point I have to make is that the pictures really don’t do these clothes any justice, the deepness and richness of the darker prints and the vibrancy of the lighter patterns are magnificent.
Nic’s secret tree house sleep suit is gorgeous, the print is adorable and reminds me of Enid Blyton’s the Magic Faraway tree, like a secret is hiding amongst the little pictures in the print. Nic is in size 6-9 months clothes and the sleep suit is very generous with it’s sizing, so it’ll last him a while 🙂
The overall colour of the sleep suit is blue with pink highlights and feet, so it’s great for girls or boys. best of all there’s plenty of room for chunky cloth bums 🙂 Not to mention of course Nic looks super cute!
Although all of this season’s prints are stunning, Jacob’ s outfit has to be my favourite. The moon and stars print is so gorgeous, the jellybean joggers are fantastic, they’re slightly baggy and leave plenty of room to grow, and again there’s plenty of room for those cloth nappy bums <3 I love the contrast between the bright Whites and yellows of the stars and moons against the deep dark blues, they almost seem to shine out from the dark background.
The sleeping moon top is adorable, the details of the moon’s face are so sweet and really do look like something from a dream. Jacob loves his moon top, every time I go to dress him in it he points at it, smiles and shouts ‘moon!’ So I think it’s safe to say it has his seal of approval 😉
We really love our new threads from LGR, the kids not only look totally beautiful in their outfits but are also very comfortable and aren’t in any way restricted when they move. LGR clothes are most certainly built for busy little people!
It’s also great to know that the clothes they wear were made of excellent quality organic cotton and were made by people who are being respected treated fairly.
I would recommend this fantastic brand to anyone, their stuff is beautiful to look at, super soft (thanks to that gorgeous organic cotton), and nice and roomy so your little adventurers aren’t uncomfortable when they’re exploring their world!
